Very Rev. Fr. Peter-Michael Preble, Pastor

 

Fr. Peter was appointed as the 16th Pastor of St. Michael’s Romanian Orthodox Church on July 5, 2004 by His Eminence Archbishop Nicolae of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese. A 2004 Graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, he was ordained to the Diaconate on July 2, 2004 and the Priesthood on July 4, 2004 at Ss. Constantine and Helen Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois.

 

Prior to seminary, Father was a teacher in the School System of the Archdiocese of Boston where he taught middle school age in several schools in the system. As an educator, Fr. Peter continues with Adult Religious Education programs in the parish as well as being an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Nichols College Dudley, Massachusetts.

 

Along with his pastoral responsibilities, father serves on The Southbridge Historical Commission, Civil Air Patrol Chaplain, Deputy Chief Chaplain with the Massachusetts Corps. of Fire Chaplains, Chaplain for the Dudley Fire Department in Dudley, Massachusetts and Orthodox Chaplain at Harvard University. Father is also an emergency responder with the International Orthodox Christian Charities and was dispatched to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In January of 2006 father was appointed the Orthodox Chaplain at Harvard University working with Orthodox Christian Fellowship.
